By Duane Ullery Tim Meyer, Chad Scanlon and Pete Draper combine their considerable talents to forge Sunfall, a series of stories (collected here in one nicely thick paperback edition) which chronicle the struggles of a group of survivors holed up in a retail store after exposure to direct sunlight inexplicably begins to incinerate people across the globe, leaving the human race devastated.Opening with a bang and moving at a brisk pace, this first "season" of Sunfall nicely establishes this new literary universe as a world replete with perils and horrors even more terrifying than the sun, while also providing an intriguing cast of both heroes and villains. Horror and science fiction fans will find a lot to love in this unique and involving premise, which concludes on a stunning note that should have invested readers clamoring for more. Both original and nicely efficient in both execution and style, Sunfall is an absorbing, gruesome, oft times unsettling and always exciting read I recommend genre fans check out. I'm eager to see what the authors bring for season two.

By Caleb Although post-apocalyptic novels, TV shows, and films are currently very much in vogue, many of them follow predictable tropes, plotlines, and characters. Sunfall does not fall into these pitfalls. Instead, Sunfall offers a unique twist on traditional post-apocalyptic fare. While one certainly can see homages and references to sources as diverse as classic literature and modern zombie films, the story maintains its own distinct voice. The main characters are compelling, but enough is left unexplained about them to add suspense and mystery (and to leave you wanting more). I cannot wait for the next installment, and if you start this series, you won't be able to wait, either!

I hated the bad guys, and enjoyed the heck out of the good guys, and gals. The character development was exactly enough to where I had a sense of what these people were like before the burn, and I can't wait to learn more. I'll be starting book 2 tonight! These 3 authors did such a good job on the writing that the flow was smooth and steady, and I had no clue who wrote what. That's Lind of rare for 3 different authors to find that balance. Yep, I'd recommend this book.
