About the Author Monte Beauchamp is an award-winning art director and founder of the graphics-illustration-comics annuals BLAB! and Blab World. His books include: Masterful Marks: Cartoonists Who Changed the World (2013), Krampus: The Devil of Christmas (2010), and The Life & Times of R. Crumb (2008). He has received numerous awards and honors, including the Society of Illustrator’s prestigious Richard Gangel Art Director Award for 2012.

These are 24 heavy stock, totally awesomely creepy vintage illustrations to scare the bejeezus out of any naughty person on your list. Each card has a different illustration, and the quality of card stock is excellent. The box they came in is also very good quality, and would make a great gift itself. These arrived quickly and in great condition, without being over packaged.

I've always been so sad that there hasn't been more Krampus inspired holiday cards when the season arrived. I am so incredibly stoked that the Krampus has finally gained some recognition and that I was able to purchase these and send some out for Xmas. Now, I am aware that I am posting this review AFTER the holidays, but honestly - these are so great I truly believe you can send them whenever! I'm an avid snailmailer and postcrosser so I'm sure I'll still be using these in the months to come. Specifics, standard postcard size, nice sturdy stock and NO duplicates, which is a bummer because I would have liked to keep some/send some, lol. Guess I'll just buy another set! Oh - pics are of what I haven't mailed yet. Sorry! But hey, now at least some can be a surprise. :-)

These are stunning reproductions printed on heavy card stock - and this set, like the originals, is sure to be sought after someday.
