10 of 10 people found the following review helpful. A great quick-start resource By L. F. Smith I'm an experienced iPad user, but I wanted a quick guide to the new features in iOS9. That's exactly what this book is.This is an excellent introduction for new users and a great refresher/update for experienced users. All of the "Teach Yourself Visually..." guides are no-nonsense, non-technical books. They're intended to get a user started and along the right path as quickly as possible. To that end, they're written in plain, clear English, with no technical language. For every instruction, there's a very clear, neatly labeled screen shot that shows what you should be seeing after following the instructions. It would be extremely difficult to get messed up following this guide. (I'd like to say impossible to get messed up, but I taught high school for nearly three decades, and I know how ingenious some people can be when they're failing to follow instructions.)My bottom line: If you need a guide for the iPad and the new iOS9 software, there's no better one than this book. Clear, comprehensive, and even reasonably priced. Five stars for sure.

By Michael This is a very comprehensive and easy to use book. I especially like the colorful pictures and illustrations. Very straightforward and easy to follow and understand. Not technical in any sense.And the English makes sense. All too often I have picked up a book like this and it was hard to follow, as if using English as a foreign language. Not so with this book.Some things are very basic, but there is something to be learned even for those who have been using an iPad for a while.

When the opportunity to obtain the latest version covering iOS 9, the order was placed. Teach yourself visually books are among the finest references on the market. This version of “iPad” (4th edition) is in that category. Covering the iPad Air, iPad mini and iPad Pro. Step by Step visual format walks you through each sequence. Numbered actions, bullet clarifying stuff and indented steps show results. For newbies and/or professionals the conventions, i.e. Notes, Icons/Buttons, Tips, Bold/Italics walk you the each task with ease. The trouble shooting chapter assist in keeping the iPad running as advertised - essential troubleshooting stuff, in addition updating software and tracking your iPad if is lost (steps to recover and/or if stolen how to remotely ears date. A must reference for iPad users.
