A Physician Worth Knowing By Lake Conroe Happy After reading this autobio, the reader appreciates the inevitable pull of a passion on the life choices of a person -- in his case, of his positive memories and love of woodworking and his deeply ingrained love of flight and aviation. That Dr. Justis found a way to make his passions an integral part of his life is no surprise -- and no doubt, his patients are thankful he did not become a dentist! This is an easy book to read, and it leaves the reader hoping that their personal physicians are as committed and honest. In the case of Dr. Justis, the reader soon realizes that the axiom, "What you see is what you get" is a true statement about him. There are several recollections of growing up that bring a chuckle and even laughter, and the struggles of establishing a personal belief system and approach to life are not unfamiliar to many who suffered the 'angst' as they established their own identity. This is a book for those who are convinced that physicians don't care and are in practice to take advantage of others...and brings home the point that those who follow their passions find the most satisfaction. It's a candid and honest picture of a man's life, unglossed and still progressing, and worth the time to read. LCH
