I thoroughly enjoyed Redemption Cove By Larry Landgraf Ben Adams is an alcoholic (or drunk as he called himself), workaholic fool on a path to self-destruction, but people can change_and change he did. He was forced into a reckoning. Ben suffered dearly due to his drinking.Ben moved to a piece of inherited land in Canada to start over. There, Ben was thrust into a constant struggle to come to terms with his past, as well as dealing with hostile neighbors. There was always something going on, and I was lured further and further into the well woven story. I couldn’t have guessed what was going to happen next in a million years.Life is never fair, but no matter what life throws at you, you can make a better place in the world for yourself. You get out of life what you put into it. Ben Adams did his level best to make a new and better home for himself. Life was far from perfect for Ben, but he did make the most out of numerous bad situations. Life is also about loss and Ben struggled on this front too. Redemption Cove is an excellent story of perseverance.As an author myself, I wish I had the way with words David Calder has. I loved the setting of the book in a beautiful Canadian cove with all that nature has to offer. I look forward to reading another book by David Calder.

This will take you from the big city tech bubble to a remote spot in the middle of nowhere, and everywhere in between. The cool thing about this book is the outright unpredictability, and amount of stuff going on. Just when you think you know what is coming, it takes a turn you just could not have anticipated. Can't wait for me from this author (more in this series?), because this one captivated me!

I could not stop reading the tale for sake of seeking its redemption. Its redemption finally comes for you in the end, in an "awe ha" moment, when you realize that there was not only redemption for the Ben, as well as, the people with whom Ben HAD TO interact...redemption is possible for everyman!
