By Avid Reader When I started reading “The Eastman” by Robert Martin I knew I was going to love this international crime drama. The main character Abdul Karmar, also known as the Eastman, is a hired hitman who takes care of problems for other people. There is constantly action throughout this book as Abdul jets around Europe and the Middle East on a seven day adventure. The author has a fantastic writing style painting a picture of each scene with his words which allows the reader to easily visualize the locations in Europe and the Middle East. Also, the character’s conversations flow very naturally and are so real that I was drawn right into the storyline like I was a part of the novel. The engaging writing style of Robert Martin and the pace of the story allowed me to be swept along with the characters on this seven day adventure. Also, I really appreciated how the author gives the reader so many details about each of the characters really bringing the main character to life along with all the other characters in the book. I could picture Abdul Karmar living his luxurious and adventurous lifestyle whether he was flying on either of his private two jets, at his Spanish horse ranch, his apartment in Paris, etc. If you like international thrillers with characters like James Bond or Jason Bourne then you will absolutely love “The Eastman”. I thoroughly enjoyed the very thrilling seven day adventure I took with Abdul Karmar “The Eastman”. I can’t wait to read more books by Robert Martin! I highly recommend this book for fans of international thrillers who love lots of action.

I love a good action book and this book took it to another level. The author paid great attention to detailing each character and each scenario so we are never left at a disadvantage. I felt as though I was right there in the midst of all the action. I read the book in a day and at the end I was thirsty to hear more about the Eastman. I truly appreciate this book as a masterpiece and would recommend it to anyone looking for a serious action filled read.
