Normally I don't purchase first person books, but I gave this one a shot -- and I was surprised right from the get go! Although, lacking the length compared to many novels, don't let the page count deceive the quality of Alexandra Daigle's work. You'll be immersed from start to end, wanting and waiting for the next piece to come.

Daigle has obviously spent time laboring over every moment of the story to make sure that it is crafted with loving care. It was a hard choice between 5 and 4 stars because Stolen Time isn't really book one, it's part one. The book has somewhat of a serial ending rather than a closed loop. That being said the writing more than makes up it and leaves you wanting to read the second instead of being frustrated. For the release price of 3.98 CDN it was more than worth it.

It was so easy to envision exactly what the main character Diane was seeing, feeling and hearing by the splendid sensory descriptions. !! I did not comment on the characters as I feel they are developing at this point in the story. The ending left me wanting more.....I believe Alexandra Daigle has talent and look forward to reading more of her work. !!!
