Since the stories include mature themes (no spoilers), the book is more appropriate for adults. While the collection can easily be read in one day, I advise taking the time to savor each story. Hands down my favorite story was "The Unwrapped Gift." It was such a beautiful story of love lost and found (and having a cute dog in it helped.) Actually every story was a heart warming read for the holidays. Thank you John - looking forward to more holiday-themed books!

All four stories were well written and I couldn't put the book down. I truly enjoyed how the author gave all the cats in the stories human qualities and thoughts! I would definitely read this author's work in the future.
