I would consider this an advanced coloring book, a large percentage of the designs are small and intricate. I also like using coloring book designs as quilting designs. I have worked with several of Grace Sure books and the designs in this book are less suited to be adopted for quilting (or rather it would take more work do adopt the designs in this book to quilting) as tiny designs do not work well for sewing.The book is laid out by some who understand what is important to someone who wants to do coloring:(1) The back of each is left blank so there is no bleed through.(2) The designs vary in their intricacy but none are so small that is difficult to color.(3) The designs do not have a lot of heavy shading of their own(4) The book is just artwork, no filler pages with sayingsThe appendix at the end of the book show full size samples from other Grace Sure coloring books so you can get the idea of their style. One thing I miss when I shop on line is doing a flip through of the book like I would do in a brick and mortar store, so in my video I do a flip through for you so you can get a glimpse at various designs with your own eyes.I received a review copy of this book.Ali Julia review
2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. 36 Lovely Flower Designs in a wide variety of styles plus 10 sample pages from other titles – printed on one side of page By iiiireader [[VIDEOID:bff5c90c7df0a23e0ce763a266031f93]]This coloring book has 36 lovely floral designs. The styles of the designs vary quite a bit from elegant to fun and whimsical. There are fun designs (the baby carriage and the peace sign come to mind) as well as very stylized flowers that are geometric in feel. Most of the designs are quite open and flowing and will be easy to color. Only a few have small, intricate details which will require smaller points in your coloring medium. As a gardener, I love to have floral designs to color over the winter when there are so few colorful flowers to see outside. It puts me in the mood to get out and get my garden started as soon as weather permits!The pages are printed on thin white paper which is not perforated. The designs are printed on one side of the page with the back left blank. The designs stop well short of the glued binding and can easily be removed with a pen knife if you so choose.My gel pens and markers all leaked through this paper. My coloring pencils went on well but left a shadow at the back of the page, too. Not a problem, though, as I can put a piece of chipboard or a couple of heavy weight pieces of paper under the page I am working on to keep the ink from leaking through.What is really quite nice about this line of books by Grace Sure is that she is also making them available for you to print additional copies if you purchase the book. You can either purchase the book and get the access to the on-line version. If you prefer, you buy the Kindle version of the book or, at the time I am writing this review, you can use your Kindle Unlimited to borrow it, too. You can decide to print the designs on whatever paper can use in your printer. When I have this option, I use my laser printer on chipboard. It keeps it safe from my water-based markers and water colors and gives me a good surface to color on. I may do this for a couple of prints but I am happy with the quality of the printed book for most of my coloring needs.A free sample of this coloring book was provided for test and review purposes.
