About the Author Benny Kjaer's novel, Sword of the Prophet, is the first in the Kuno Zell series.He lives in a historic, adobe house in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with his wife Sylvia and two dogs.In 2001 Benny contributed to the anthology "For enden af regnbuen?" and in 2014 to the followup "Den dag regnbuen blev gra - Danske skabnefortellinger i USA efter 9/11," both compiled and edited by Bo Ostlund and published by Forlaget Mellemgaard, Odense, Denmark.As a farm boy, Benny started his education in a one-room school house tucked between the fields, and close to the North Sea, of Jutland, Denmark. After high school, and a few odd jobs, he attended the Copenhagen Business School while apprenticing at Magasin du Nord in Copenhagen.He graduated with the equivalent of a Masters in Retail Marketing.As a teenager, Benny had two dreams: To sail the seven seas and live in America.After a week on a wooden fishing boat on the stormy North Sea, the entire time being seasick, he reduced his dream list to America.Benny has lived the American dream since the early 1980's, building successful businesses, and enjoying the beautiful Southwestern United States.Benny's interests includes exploring the world, reading history and fiction, and writing.

Hits close to home By health_junkie The heart-pounding, heart-wrenching narrative about a fictional disaster is all-too realistic, all-too-possible, and terrifying. The reader can easily identify with the well-developed main character, and even the ‘bad guys’ are three-dimensional, with their despicable actions understandable in the view of their background.Written in concise, effective, no-frills language, ‘The Sword Of the Prophet’ reads like a good movie, and should be made into one.

Painfully direct and realistic and frightening. The story unfolds quickly and the is really draws the reader in. I read this on the day before Thanksgiving when I had a million things to do! But as I accomplished each thing on my list, I would have to take a time-out to read.....could not put it down.

Definitely keep you attention.Once I started to read this book I didn't want to put it down. I like the outline of each chapter. The ending was a surprise and I look forward to reading more of Mr. Kjaer's books. I intend to purchase more books as gifts for Christmas and Birthdays.
